Will of William Pattenden
of East Grinstead - 1841

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Pattenden of the Parish of East Grinstead in the County of Sussex Shopkeeper. I desire all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the costs and charges of proving this my Will be fully paid as soon as conveniently can be after my demise. I give devise and bequeath unto my dear WifeAmelia Pattenden all my freehold and copyhold and all other my real estates lands tenements and hereditaments wheresoever situate and being and all my stock in trade monies debts and sureties for money and all other my personal estate To hold the same unto my said Wife and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever according to her respective natures and tenures thereof. And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Amelia Pattenden sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills and Testementary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I the said William Pattenden the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand this twenty eighth day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty one
