Will of Samuel Parry
collier of Broughton - 1850
This is the last Will and Testament of me Samuel Parry in the township of Broughton in the Parish of Wrexham in the County of Denbigh Collier being of sound mind memory and understanding praised be to God for the same. I hereby direct my Executor and Executrix hereinafter named with all convenient speed after my decease to get in all money due to me at the time of my decease and out of the produce thereof to pay and discharge all my just debts, funeral Expenses and the expense of proving this my last Will. I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sarah Parry for her life all my personal property containing Household furniture, three cottages gardens and two small fields situated in the said township of Broughton in the said Parish of Wrexham and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to my dear children Robert Parry, Mary Parry, Samuel Parry, John Parry, Edwin Parry, Harriet Parry, Sarah Parry, Price Parry and Peter Francis Parry to be divided between them share and share alike and to their respective executors and administrators. And in case any one or more of my said sons and daughters shall happen to die in my said wife’s lifetime the part and share or respective parts and shares of him, her or them so dying shall go to and be equally divided amongst such of their respective children living at her decease who shall then have attained or shall thereafter attain the age of twenty one. And I do nominate and appoint my said wife and my said son Robert Parry Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament to it thereof I have set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred & fifty

Then appeared personally Sarah Parry one of the Executors in the foregoing Will and took the usual oath of an Executrix and that the personal Estate and Effects of which the Testator Samuel Parry died possessing were under the value of Twenty Pound. (Power being reserved to Robert Parry the other Executor to have the like Probate and administration whensoever he shall require the same)
