William & Ann Douch of Wartling

William Douch was probably born about 1740 but no baptism has been found.

Ann Blunden was baptised in Willingdon on 2^nd September 1744, the daughter of John and Ann.

William Douch married Ann Blunden, both ‘of this parish’ in Wartling on 14^th April 1766 and they had the following children baptised, the first in Herstmonceux and the rest in Wartling:

By the time their last child was born they were marked in the church registers as paupers.

Of their children:

• William Douch of Herstmonceux married Mary Clarke in Westham on 27^th May 1791.

• Richard Douch married Mary Marchant in Westham on 20^th April 1797.
