    Henry was an agricultural labourer and lived most of his life in Arlington, although in 1861 the family were living at Hill Cottages in Eastbourne.  In 1871 he was back in Arlington and he died in 1876 aged 70.

    • Horace married Mary Ann Marchant, was a greengrocer in Eastbourne and lived in Myrtle Road. Among their children was Amos Bert Colbran, who I always knew as Bert when he and his wife Olive lived next door to us in Seaside. He was stone deaf and very pleased to tell you that as a bricklayer he had helped to build the new Langney crematorium.
  • James married Elizabeth Hilton in Arlington on 21 June 1828 where they had 4 children:

    James was an agricultural labourer and they were living in Wilmington in 1841 with all their children and Elizabeth’s mother, Emma Hilton. In 1861 James and Elizabeth were living with their married daughter, Caroline Fears, in Brighton. James was still lodging in Brighton in 1871 and died there in 1885, aged 77.

  • George was staying with his married sister, Barbara Frost in Framfield in 1841. He married Caroline Barnes in Hailsham on 13 April 1844 and they are known to have had 4 children:

    George was a carter and in 1851 they were all living in South Heighton which is near Newhaven. By 1861 they had moved back to Arlington where they lived in Wick Street. George was still in Wick Street in 1871 but by 1881 he was living with his married niece, Mary Wooller, the daughter of his brother William, at Dicker Road, Arlington. George died in 1887 aged 75.
