South of France - May 1981
We stayed on a Camping International site on Presqu-Ile-de-Giens. Long coach trip there but all camping equipment was provided. The site was very crowded, with no space between the tents, but we had a good time. Spent several days exploring the local area and went on trips to Toulon and the Verdon Gorge
Looking towards Carqueiranne. The campsite is among the trees in the foreground
Pete relaxing - yes, the tents were very close together

We went to Toulon where we took the cable car up Mount Faron
From the cable car you could walk up to the peak (584m)where there was a small zoo and the obligatory tourist shop
